Education Gävle is responsible for preschool, primary school, secondary school, and adapted school. We work to ensure that all children and students are challenged and succeed in their education. In the Bergby principal area, we work based on prioritized goals in Knowledge, Safety, and Attendance. We have several lead teachers who work across the area with all staff at recurring conferences and study days. High expectations for both students and staff permeate our operations. We work with collegial learning and systematic analyses and evaluations of our teaching to provide the best opportunities for development for both students and staff.

Milboskolan has a well-functioning student health team consisting of teachers, school counselors, school nurses, and assistant principals. Milboskolan has approximately 350 students and 40 employees, distributed across two buildings, one for grades F-3 and one for grades 4-6. We work according to the Gävle model, which is a municipal-wide safety initiative where all staff are involved in the values work.

Building good relationships with students is a cornerstone of our work. We are looking for a music teacher for grades 1-6. The position is part-time with a 70% employment rate. We warmly welcome your application!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher for grades 1-6, you will work with instruction, have class responsibility, and be responsible for mapping, planning, implementing, and evaluating lessons. The work is carried out according to established goals and guidelines. Your tasks include working with your colleagues to create a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus. You challenge and support students so that they achieve good academic results and adapt your teaching to meet all students' needs and conditions. The work is carried out in collaboration with other educators, student health, guardians, and other actors outside the school.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license with the authority to teach music for grades 1-6. You are well acquainted with and knowledgeable about the primary school curriculum and have the ability to implement it in a fun and inspiring way. You have knowledge and experience with digital tools, such as documentation in Unikum or Office, and we would like you to have an interest in using digital tools in teaching. Furthermore, you have the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required for communication with colleagues, guardians, and students.

You lead, motivate, and inspire students, helping them to feel comfortable and do well. You are structured and plan your work well. You are good at creating an open dialogue and adapting your language to the situation. You have a good ability to make students feel a sense of belonging and inclusion.

You enjoy working with other people, listen, and show empathy and respect. You are unpretentious and recognize and reward others' contributions while creating and maintaining good relationships. You collaborate well with people in various contexts and functions and are curious, creative, and open to new solutions. In accordance with Gävle Municipality's values, you have a good approach, a strong ability to collaborate, and care about high quality in your work.

As a final candidate, you must be able to present a criminal record check from the police for work in schools or preschools. This should not be attached to your application.
