The Education Gävle is responsible for preschool, primary school, secondary school, and adapted school. We work to ensure that all children and students are challenged and succeed in their education. We are now looking for a committed teacher for grades F-3, who wants to be part of our faculty at Staffansskolan Staffan and Staffanskolan Brynäs. These two school buildings are centrally located in Gävle, from preschool to grade 6. Staffanskolan Brynäs has new, beautiful facilities and a pleasant outdoor environment for all students in grades 3-6. Staffanskolan Staffan offers activities for all students from grades F-2, with adaptations and space for the needs of younger children. For example, we have a completely renovated library. At Staffansskolan, we have a high staff density and we work based on a multi-teacher system where the qualifications of the faculty form the basis for how we organize ourselves.

The school also has hearing classes. With us, there is a diversity of languages and cultures that provide opportunities for different working methods and approaches. To give our students the best conditions for success and to ensure that the school is accessible to all students, our starting point is a neuropsychiatric safe school with a strong focus on digitalization. This means that all our employees are trained in neuropsychiatric issues.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you a teacher driven by sharing your knowledge and seeing students grow and develop? Then this could be a position for you! We are now looking for a committed teacher who wants to work towards higher goal achievement for our students in school. Come and help shape Gävle's future with us!

As a teacher for grades F-3, you will work with teaching, have class responsibility, and be responsible for mapping, planning, implementing, and evaluating lessons. The work is carried out according to established goals and guidelines. Your tasks also include mentorship and collaborating with your colleagues to design a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus. You challenge and support students so that they achieve good study results and adapt your teaching based on all students' needs and conditions. The work is carried out in collaboration with other educators, student health, guardians, and other actors outside the school.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and teaching certification with authorization to teach in grades F-3. A prerequisite for the position is that you are familiar with and knowledgeable about the curriculum for primary school and implement this in your daily work. Furthermore, you must have the ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing, as this is required in communication with colleagues, guardians, and students. You should have good knowledge of and experience with digital tools, as much of the teaching and planning is done digitally.

You have a talent for leading and motivating students and helping them feel comfortable and well within the school's activities. You are also good at creating an open dialogue and adapting your language to the situation. You have a good ability to build trusting relationships and help students feel a sense of belonging and inclusion. You take initiative in social contexts and have the ability to spread calm and stability.

To succeed in this role, you need to be structured and plan your work well. You should be able to see what needs to be prioritized, be effective, and use your resources in the best way to achieve results. You have good collaboration skills and adapt to different situations and can change your perspective and approach.
