The Department of Health and Social Care is responsible for providing care, support, and assistance to the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as support for their relatives. Our goal is to provide good conditions for an independent, stimulating, and safe living situation - around the clock, with a citizen focus. We are 2,500 employees who provide support and care to citizens in need.

The Position and Responsibilities

We are now looking for a nurse in the field of elderly care and disability services.

You will work weekdays from 07:45 to 16:15, and during each shift, you will plan and structure your work together with your closest colleagues. In your role with us, you are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the care they need by performing medical orders and making assessments. The nurses share responsibility for the tasks. As a nurse, you will work with patients, care staff, and relatives, and collaborate with doctors and nursing colleagues. You will handle medication, treatments, and prescribe nursing measures, as well as be available to answer questions from relatives and care staff.

Your work will also include assessing and making decisions in various situations within care and maintaining contact with doctors. Furthermore, you will educate, guide, and delegate certain tasks to care staff and document in health and medical records.

Who Are You?

Requirements:

We are looking for a licensed nurse who preferably has a few years of experience in the field. Furthermore, we see that you have:

• good knowledge of current legislation, such as HSL, SoL, and LSS
• good knowledge of digital tools and experience working in operational systems. We use Lifecare, Senior Alert, the Swedish Palliative Registry, and various assessment instruments
• good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, as daily documentation is a significant part of the work
• a valid B driver's license, as our operations extend across all of Botkyrka

It is an advantage if you have previous experience in dementia care and have worked in municipal operations or in healthcare.
