Our colleague will be on parental leave, and we are therefore looking for a temporary economist for the Department of Children and Education.

The position is organized within the administrative department of the Department of Children and Education. The administrative department serves as a support function for the main activities of preschool and primary school. We are 25 colleagues in the areas of finance, HR, development/investigation, administration, and system administration.

Job Responsibilities

You will be one of three economists in the Department of Children and Education. Together, you will support the department's managers broadly on financial matters. You will work with ongoing budgets, follow-ups, and year-end closing work. Together, you will quality assure, compile, and analyze financial data. You will be part of a network with other economists in the municipality and have the opportunity to engage in various forms of collaboration both within the department and with other departments in the municipality.

Together with your colleagues, you will be the presenter in financial matters for the Children and Education Committee.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in finance. Experience working as an economist in the public sector is an advantage. You are structured, have excellent analytical skills, and are good at expressing yourself in both speech and writing. You are communicative and possess good pedagogical skills as well as the ability to build good relationships. You are meticulous and flexible in response to the needs of the organization. You have good knowledge of Excel and can easily familiarize yourself with new systems.
