The Adult Investigation Unit is a cutting-edge unit. We have been awarded for our development work with the mobile motivation team. Today, we have 31 employees working in the unit, including a unit manager, senior social worker, specialist caseworkers, social workers, HVB coordinators, the mobile motivation team, and administrators. In our work, we meet adults in need of support due to harmful use or dependence on addictive substances and/or gambling, those who are victims of criminal violence (not domestic violence) and/or other social vulnerability, comorbidity, and/or those who live in social exclusion. We also meet adults who need protection or other social support, dropouts from a criminal context. Here, highly engaged and knowledgeable employees work with a constant focus on the citizen's best interests.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We meet individuals, assess care needs, make decisions, and follow up on interventions according to SoL, LVU, and LVM, based on the National Guidelines from the National Board of Health and Welfare. Gävle Municipality was the first in the country to establish a mobile motivation team to motivate and support individuals in making lifestyle changes. As part of the work, you will collaborate with colleagues from our mobile motivation team. We have close cooperation with the municipality's internal initiatives as well as with external partners such as healthcare, correctional services, and treatment homes. As a social worker in the Adult Investigation Unit, you will work with individuals aged 18 and above.

You have the opportunity to plan and drive your work independently while receiving support from both colleagues, the team, and the various operational forums we have in the unit, as well as being offered long-term mentorship. We apply a close and trust-based leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has completed a social work degree or is expected to finish their education by summer. You have the ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Travel may occur in the job, and therefore a B driver's license is also a requirement for the position.

Previous experience with governmental authority is an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have prior experience in social work and if you have knowledge of and experience with digital tools, such as Treserva or the Office package.

As a person, you have the ability to see what needs to be prioritized, are efficient, and use resources to achieve results in the best way possible. You see logic and connections in complex information and have the ability to see long-term solutions. Instilling trust, creating confidence, and trustworthiness comes naturally to you as you are good at spreading calm and stability.
