Arvidsjaur's popular and well-regarded high school - Sandbackaskolan - is now recruiting an instructor for the Vehicle and Transport Program. The school ranks among the top in the country in terms of graduation rates, and our success factors are safety and well-being combined with high academic ambitions. We support and educate about 300 students across the programs FX, FT, BF, NA, SA, EK, IM/ANP, as well as adult education and SFI. Approximately half of our students come from other municipalities, and we have national intake for FX and NIU Alpine.

Description

We are now looking for an instructor for the vehicle and transport education. The position is a fixed-term employment until 2025-06-15, with immediate start. There are good opportunities for the position to transition into a permanent employment, provided that necessary decisions are made.

Good communication skills and a professional approach towards colleagues, students, and guardians in all contexts are a necessary prerequisite for the job. The task is to provide students with a quality and equitable education that meets both the requirements of the National Agency for Education and the industry.

Responsibilities

You will work with high school and adult students, guide and teach students in both theory and practice. You will assist and support vocational teachers/driving examiners based on what the operation needs. You have a solution-focused outlook on life, good collaboration skills, and enjoy working independently as well as in teams. You act as a leader and can create trusting relationships with our students and your colleagues.

Qualifications

C and CE driving licenses. You have held your CE driving license for more than three years and are at least 21 years old. Experience as a machine operator, e.g. experience with wheel loaders, earth-moving machines, forklifts, vehicle-mounted cranes, etc.

Experience in pedagogical work with children and youth is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
