Drottning Blanka's Upper Secondary School in Borås started in 2010 and offers vocational and university preparatory education within the Social Science Program, Economic Program, Craft Program, and Health and Care Program with various specializations including: Behavioral Science, Economics, Law, Hairdressing, Hair & Makeup Stylist, Health and Care. The school has about 220 students and 28 employees.

Your Mission

We now need reinforcement for our teaching team in the craft program in our newly renovated premises in the old "Spinneriet" on Druveforsvägen in Borås. We are now offering a position at 40% for teaching various hairdressing subjects in the hairdressing program, distributed over two days a week. This may suit you if you still want to keep one foot in the profession as a hairdresser.

Your Profile

We are primarily looking for someone who is a trained vocational teacher, or has extensive experience in the hairdressing field. You should be passionate about entrepreneurship and be outgoing and social, with a broad network in Borås and surrounding areas. We would like you to enjoy working on various projects and be proactive, solution-oriented, and innovative. As a hairdressing teacher, it is important that you are well updated on new cutting and coloring techniques, and work with various foil highlighting techniques and balayage. It is an advantage if you are also knowledgeable in different men's cutting techniques including fade and beard.

We are looking for someone with a strong personal commitment to learning and developing our students' knowledge. As a teacher, you are attentive and want to guide students for the future. You are also a structured, inspiring leader in the classroom while seeing the student, creating a "we", valuing, and building good relationships.

Other

The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of 6 months (provided you meet the requirements of the Education Act). Initially at 40% but with the chance of a larger position in the future. Start date by agreement, preferably August 2025.
