The Role of Educator

The overarching purpose and goal of the position is for the participant, with the help of individually tailored pedagogical support (IPSU), to become independent and complete an educational initiative with a satisfactory result.

We are looking for an educator for 50% in Växjö. There are great opportunities for the position to be expanded to 100%, but it starts as a part-time position and can be extended somewhat later.

As an educator, you support individual participants who have a functional variation and are attending training through the Employment Agency. Support is provided in the specific areas where the participant needs assistance. Based on the needs in the educational situation, IPSU is tailored with the right skills, pedagogical interventions, and work aids for each participant. You work with the participants at their educational locations. Travel to various educational sites is required.

You will be part of a team along with other educators in the nearby area, as well as specialists and coordinators. To thrive in the role, you should feel comfortable working independently with the participants, be solution-focused and flexible. Communication, feedback, and building good relationships with participants, colleagues, clients, and others come naturally to you. We also appreciate an interest in networking.

Eligibility Requirements

Work Experience

• Documented experience working with individuals with functional variations in an educational setting for at least 1 year.
• Documented experience working with cognitive aids in an educational setting for at least 1 year.

Work experience must be certified.

Educational Requirements

Relevant education in pedagogy and/or functional variation. Proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Desirable: Sign language proficiency

Employment

50% permanent position with the possibility of extending to 100%.

Start date: By agreement.
