The workgroup that handles authority matters regarding children and youth currently consists of two senior social workers, two intake secretaries, and 14 social workers. The group is divided into two parts. One part primarily works with children aged 0-11 and their families, while the other primarily works with youth aged 12-20 and their families. We support each other in both groups and often work together on cases. We have a competent and experienced workgroup. We are located in good premises centrally in Ljungby, and everyone has their own office room.

We are currently looking for someone who primarily wants to work with children aged 0-11 and their families.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a social worker focusing on children and youth, you will handle cases according to SoL, LVU, and LBSB. You will work with investigations and follow-ups of cases, both regarding open care contacts and institutional placements. The tasks are varied, and you have a great opportunity to influence and plan your own work. In this role, you will closely collaborate with other parts of IFO and with external actors such as preschools/schools, police, and health care.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent, preferably with previous experience in social services. Experience in authority matters concerning children and youth is an advantage.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and good collaboration skills. We want you to promote a positive work environment and development within social services. You should have an open and trust-building approach and be confident in your professional role. To thrive as a social worker with us, you need to be structured in your work style, but you should also be flexible and not afraid to think outside the box. As a person, you are social and have the ability to create trusting relationships.

It is a requirement that you express yourself well in both speech and writing and that you have a B driver's license. It is a plus if you are familiar with Signs of Safety.
