Vasaskolan is an independent F-9 school located in central Gothenburg with a Christian profile. The school's vision is summarized in Real Growth. We actively work to ensure that all students grow and develop to reach their full potential.

We are a traditional school with skilled and certified staff leading our classes with high-quality teaching. All pedagogical staff are part of a working team, one team per stage, which fosters a wonderful team spirit and good opportunities for collegial learning.

The classes are relatively small, contributing to a good working environment, safety, and study focus.

Vasaskolan 7-9 is a two-parallel unit located in the Johanneberg area of central Gothenburg, with 23 students in each class.

The upper secondary school constitutes a working team, which includes all educators.

We are now looking for a special educator for the upper secondary school as our regular special educator has applied for leave for the academic year 25/26.

As a special educator,

• you are independent and driven in your role
• you work operationally in the classes but also with individual students in need of special support.
• you observe and map adaptations and support needs
• you work towards an accessible learning environment for all students
• you act as an advisor to subject teachers and mentors in their work in the classes
• you are part of the school's EHT team

We are looking for someone with broad special educational competence and a strong interest in students' learning and well-being, particularly those in need of adaptations and special support.

We place great importance on your fundamental attitude towards students' varying conditions for learning; you have a good ability to create trusting relationships with both students and colleagues, as well as with guardians.

You share the school's vision and Christian profile and understand that it provides good conditions for favorable knowledge development among students.

We are looking for a certified special educator with good experience of various disabilities, problematic school absenteeism, and someone who enjoys challenges and driving an already well-functioning operation to become even better together with your colleagues.

Personal suitability for the position is of great value to us.

The position is a temporary position at 80% starting from August 13, 2025, to June 12, 2026.
