Hammarlundens middle school is growing and will have about 490 students distributed across 21 classes for the 25/26 school year. Hammarlunden 7–9 is a goal-oriented school where students and teachers together shape the future. The unit with newly built sports halls is expanding, and construction of a new school is underway; the new school will be ready for occupancy for the 25/26 school year.

For the 25/26 school year, we are looking for a dedicated mathematics teacher for a temporary position at 80%, as one of our educators is on parental leave!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At Hammarlundens middle school, you will teach mathematics in several classes and be a mentor in one of our classes. In your mentoring role, you are expected to take significant responsibility for the students' social situation and knowledge development. You will be part of one of the school's work teams where collegial learning is the focus, and collaboration between teachers in work and subject teams is a fundamental prerequisite. Teachers at Hammarlundens school are expected to have an active role in student health work of a promoting and preventive nature, focusing on accessible learning environments of physical, pedagogical, and social nature, as well as work on school attendance.

Your teaching is characterized by a language and knowledge-developing approach, and you see every student's opportunity for support and stimulation in teaching as a given. You have the ability to adapt teaching to the needs of the group through guidance and stimulation, as well as additional adaptations.

You are an active and unpretentious leader who prefers collaborative work where collegial learning is at the center. You apply a student-centered approach and see students' participation in their own learning as a given.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a qualified and certified teacher in mathematics for grades 7-9.

You should be flexible, have good collaboration skills, and a positive attitude. You should be skilled at building good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians, and have a strong interest in children's and youth's learning.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. Interviews will be conducted continuously during the recruitment process.
