JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

The positions involve teaching in the health and social care program, both at the youth gymnasium and adult education.

Your main tasks include planning, implementing, and following up on lessons. The position includes mentorship, which means following the students' knowledge development and study situation, as well as supporting their development towards adulthood. Validation and procurement of practical placements are also part of the assignment.

Primarily, we are looking for a licensed high school teacher with the authority to teach in health and medical care. Secondly, we are looking for a further-educated nurse within health and medical care. Experience working as a teacher in high school and adult education is considered an advantage. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

According to the Education Act (2010:800), a police record extract from the National Police Board is required to work in preschool, school, or childcare. The form is available on the National Police Board's website.

WORKPLACE ÄLVSTRANDSGYMNASIET

Älvstrandsgymnasiet is part of Älvstranden Education Center. The gymnasium has over 400 students enrolled in one of our ten national programs. Within the gymnasium, we also have introductory programs, special needs education, adult education, and several sports orientations. Älvstrandsgymnasiet is part of the Health and Social Care College and has a close collaboration with the industry. In adult education, we also provide training to become a care assistant. The health training programs within adult education are conducted both at Älvstranden Education Center and at Forsskolan. We are looking for two teachers, one for a permanent position and the other for a temporary position.
