We are now seeking a leisure teacher for Kroppkärrsskolan (https://karlstad.se/forskola-skola-och-utbildning/grundskola/grundskolor/kroppkarrsskolan).

At Kroppkärrsskolan, there are about 420 students, from preschool class to grade 6. The school is located in a residential area in Norra Kroppkärr with good opportunities for outdoor activities and proximity to green areas and Kroppkärrs IP.

We have accessible learning environments with thoughtful furnishings and plenty of aids, both digital and analog, in our classrooms. A clear and caring leadership in the classroom is important for every student to have the opportunity to reach as far as possible in their knowledge development.

Recess is an important part of the school day. We organize recess activities and have many adults outside. Our beautiful schoolyard environment offers many opportunities.

There will be three leisure homes available for the next school year 2025/26. In the fall, we will organize our leisure homes so that we have mixed-age groups. Our leisure homes are located in the same premises where we conduct teaching in the compulsory school. This means that students receive education both in school and in the leisure home in the same premises.

Job Responsibilities

As a leisure teacher, you will be part of a work team consisting of primary school teachers, leisure pedagogues, and student assistants who regularly meet to plan and develop the activities. You will perform your work both in the leisure home and in the school. Together with your colleagues, you will conduct pedagogical and meaningful teaching that challenges and stimulates students to learn both indoors and outdoors.

The work as a leisure teacher is creative, varied, and requires a solution-oriented approach.

Qualifications

Licensed teacher with a focus on leisure education.
