You will belong to the Sundsvik school area, which includes Skäggebergsskolan, Svensby School, and Gräsmarks School. You will collaborate with our special education teacher at the school and work directly with students both individually and in groups. If there is interest in obtaining special education qualifications, it may be possible. You will be part of the school's student health team, which consists of counselors, school nurses, special educators, special teachers, as well as principals and vice principals.

  • Contribute to designing and evaluating action programs.
  • Participate in training and development work within the school, where you may also mentor.

In your role, you will meet engaged teachers who need your specific competencies. Together, you will create the right conditions based on a salutogenic perspective with collaboration in promoting and preventive work. The goal is to create accessible learning environments through good leadership and stimulation in teaching. You will mentor educators at the organizational, group, and individual levels. You will be a support in processes and execution of documentation, mapping, extra adaptations, and measures. You will have student-facing work and collaborate with teachers for students in need of extra adaptations and special support, also providing support in groups and individually. Development work and systematic quality work are also part of your role, as well as collaborating with external organizations and authorities such as social services, child and adolescent psychiatry, and habilitation. You are part of the school's student health team together with school management, counselors, school nurses, special teachers, and special educators. In the combined student health, you will participate in developing common working methods and routines for a health-promoting education.

Qualifications

  • Licensed teacher with qualifications in mathematics for grades F-6.
  • Experience working with students with special needs.
  • Good knowledge of adapted teaching methods and pedagogical tools.
  • Ability to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

You are responsible, have good communication skills, and can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. If you have knowledge of and experience with language and knowledge-developing methods as well as differentiated instruction, it is an advantage. For the position, you need to have skills in handling digital tools in your daily work.
