Folkuniversitetet offers day and evening courses as well as lectures in areas such as languages, economics, communication, writing, and aesthetic subjects. Our courses are primarily aimed at individuals but also associations and companies. For autumn 2025, we are now looking for one or more language instructors in Karlstad.

About the assignment
We are looking for one or more instructors in Italian, French, Greek, Japanese, and Chinese. Our courses are mainly conducted in the evening, but there are also courses during the day and on weekends in our premises located in Karlstad. We are looking for instructors who can teach at different language levels. Please feel free to bring your own suggestions and ideas!
You will independently plan and conduct your courses and follow up and register attendance.

Your competence and background
You have a strong interest and expertise in your subject area and find joy in teaching others. Previous experience teaching adults is an advantage. Since the instruction is conducted in Swedish, you should be able to express yourself well in Swedish.

As a circle leader at Folkuniversitetet, you are expected to have the ability to tailor the instruction to individuals and bring out each individual's potential. It is important that you enjoy conveying knowledge and see the positive in participants' development. You are flexible, attentive, and structured, and have experience working independently. We also expect you to share our view on the equal value of all individuals and the right to knowledge.

Employment form
The employment is a project-based contract (employment per course) with compensation per study hour. Planning is done in close collaboration with responsible staff at Folkuniversitetet.
