Fiber Technician Wanted at Eltel Networks
Are you an experienced fiber technician looking for the next step in your career? This position might be for you!
Our client Eltel Networks is a leading Nordic provider of field services for communication and electricity networks, for a sustainable and connected world. Eltel Networks offers a wide range of services from project delivery to maintenance and upgrade solutions, primarily for owners of communication and electricity networks. The company is in an expansive phase and needs to strengthen its team with technicians.
As a fiber technician, you will be responsible for installations that ensure society's demand for increased connectivity is met, with tasks mainly involving construction, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. You will work in a varied environment that includes both indoor and outdoor work, with companies as well as private individuals. The team is responsible for a geographical district, where you will be production-led by a production planner who supports you as needed.
The work initially takes place from 07:30 to 16:00, with possible night work and on-call duty. Eltel has a safety profile and works closely with security-classified objects, which means that part of the recruitment process is to undergo a security clearance.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone with solid experience and competence in fiber technology who has worked with installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and operation of fiber optic networks. You will be an important part of our team and contribute your expertise to ensure the highest quality in our fiber solutions.
Requirements:
- Several years of experience in fiber technology, especially installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and operation of fiber optic networks
- Experience in fiber splicing and Ribbon fiber splicing
- Knowledge and experience in measuring with OTDR instruments to ensure correct signal transmission
- Ability to read and interpret network diagrams
- Experience in installation and maintenance of FTTH equipment and support systems
- Familiarity with the structure of telecommunications and fiber networks
- Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
- Manual B driver's license
- Clean criminal record
Preferred:
- Experience in installation and maintenance of ODF systems.
- Experience working with multimode.
