Your Role

Your main task as a mechanical designer will be to construct and develop mechanical solutions for our products based on specifications, by working with requirements management, specification, design, verification, and documentation.

If you are driven by collaboration, you have come to the right place! In your role, you will often work together with other development engineers in project form. We manage both large projects that require collaboration skills and smaller projects that require independence. You who are applying are a person who values and nurtures your network.

Throughout the product lifecycle, you will work with requirements management, 3D models, 2D drawings, and the creation of manufacturing documentation. Our products must be world-leading in their segments, and to achieve this, we must ensure that we are at the forefront of technology. We therefore work with the ambition to promote your development and welcome both experienced individuals and recent graduates to this role!

The software used within the section for 3D-CAD is Catia, 3DExperience.

The section affiliation for this position is mechanical design within Missile Systems. The section is responsible for the mechanics of various robotic systems regarding everything from product care to new development.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with others but also likes to take a lot of personal responsibility, where you independently drive your tasks. You have a genuine interest in technical products and are stimulated by challenges that arise during the new development of cutting-edge products.

It is also important that you have a strong interest in learning new knowledge as we work a lot together and learn from each other.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Previous experience in mechanical design and understanding of product development.
• Knowledge from working with 3D tools.
• Good communication skills, both spoken and written, in Swedish and English.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the current regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
