Your Role

Our System Engineering section within mechanics is looking for a driven and technically skilled systems engineer. As a member of our team of 20, you will be involved in the entire development chain for mechanical systems and hardware, from concept to finished product and product maintenance. Requirements and verification work require a broad technical competence as our products span several technical areas.

Within the section, technology development projects are conducted that you may become involved in. This includes, for example, improvement projects regarding enhanced work methodologies or projects related to feasibility studies of new products, new materials, and manufacturing methods. Project or case leader roles are also common tasks.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is proactive and solution-oriented with an interest in mechanics. You thrive in collaboration with others but also have the ability to independently drive tasks in a structured manner. By collaborating across boundaries with other functions while being receptive and curious, you make it possible. Coordination and follow-up are essential.

We seek someone with a genuine interest in complex technical products. You have a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a similar field. You have several years of experience in mechanical design and product development. We would like you to have experience in a leading role within technical professions and be accustomed to working in development projects. Previous experience from the defense industry or with Saab's products is a plus.

As we collaborate with both local and international suppliers as well as colleagues from various parts of the organization, fluency in Swedish and English is a prerequisite for working effectively and maintaining high quality in our processes.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for specific citizenship.
