At Burgården, we educate for reality, and just like in reality, our school is a bustling world with many directions, people, and meetings. We are a multicultural school with about 1250 students from all districts and surrounding municipalities. In the role of teacher, you will educate the future hair and makeup stylists. They are a student group that is prepared for professional work and/or higher education during their upper secondary school years. Your role, in addition to teaching vocational courses in the Craft Program, is also to support the students as a mentor, have knowledge of their needs, follow their studies, and be involved in the goal of them achieving their upper secondary diploma. As a mentor, you build relationships with students and maintain contact with guardians. You have experience and a good ability to collaborate with other teachers, student health, and the home for the best interest of the student.

In collaboration with school leadership and colleagues, you contribute to creating good conditions for the school's students to thrive, develop, and reach their goals. Together with the work team, you become part of a whole where we work together to ensure that students reach their full potential both in school and in their professional practice.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is educated and licensed as a hair and makeup stylist teacher with the authority to teach within the upper secondary school's programs for Hairdressing and Hair and Makeup Stylists. We would prefer that you have experience as a makeup artist and are certified in makeup. It is advantageous to have skills in manicure with electric file technique, brow lift, lash lift, and eyelash extensions.
