JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with agricultural and fisheries policy is one of the Swedish Board of Agriculture's most important missions. To meet future needs effectively, we have a governance model that includes prioritization, planning, follow-up, and management of development work with EU support and national support for which the Swedish Board of Agriculture is responsible. The Development Management Unit is responsible for coordinated governance together with the relevant departments. In addition to the unit manager, the unit consists of a coordinator and five support managers. We are now looking for two new colleagues.
As a support manager, you have overall responsibility for the implementation of new or changes to existing support, that is, capabilities from application to processing, payment, and reporting. You will have one or more cross-functional teams with combined expertise from different parts of the organization to assist you. You have significant responsibility for planning and prioritizing the daily work for the cross-functional teams. Together, you will develop solutions that show what needs to be developed, such as changes in the design of support, regulations, IT systems, and routines, as well as consequences for operations and customers. You will work closely with managers from different parts of the organization who are responsible for deliveries based on their areas of responsibility. Other important points of contact include ongoing investigations, system development, audit coordination, and work on future reforms of agricultural and fisheries policy. A crucial part of your assignment is also follow-up.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who thrives in a role where there are demands to meet set goals, enjoys a varied job with many points of contact, and wants to contribute to developing the Swedish Board of Agriculture together with others. To succeed in this role, you need to be structured, results-oriented, and have clear and unpretentious communication. The work involves leading and collaborating with many to achieve the long-term goal, which is why it is important that you have good collaboration skills.
There are several challenges in the role, such as seeing the big picture and working iteratively where conditions can change rapidly. This requires you to be flexible and enjoy working on many different things simultaneously.
You have experience leading others and have worked as a project manager, team leader, or manager. You are accustomed to working with processes, development and change work, or project management. You have a relevant university degree.
It is an advantage if you have a good understanding of working with EU funds, such as the EU's Common Agricultural Policy. If you have specific knowledge of support and support development, that is also a plus, as is knowledge of IT development.
We warmly welcome your application!
