Our colleague is moving on to new challenges within the organization, which is why we are now looking for employees who can support our operations in financial matters with a focus on investments.

As a controller, you will have a central position in supporting both managers and project leaders in various financial matters. Your work includes closely collaborating with the operations to follow up, analyze, and report financial results as well as to prepare forecasts at various reporting times. You will also be responsible for creating the budget documentation and assisting in operational planning. The work has a focus on investment follow-up and coordination to provide our politicians with the best possible decision-making basis.

You feel confident in understanding how the finances for investments work and can see a clear connection between accounting and financial follow-up. Since you will work closely with the operations, it is required that you have a genuine interest and a good understanding of its needs, combined with a strong analytical ability. The work requires a holistic view of finance-related issues and the ability to communicate clearly.

Your assignment also includes balancing the supportive and governing role in the work with both budgets, forecasts, and follow-ups, as well as contributing to the development of our financial management.

Your Competence

Requirements

• University or college degree in finance, or equivalent extensive experience in the field
• 3-5 years of experience in budget, forecasting, and controller work

Meritorious

• Previous experience in investment follow-up and related processes
• Experience working in a politically governed organization

Welcome to Us

The Technical Office consists of approximately 900 employees working within a broad operational area. We are responsible for the municipality's properties, streets, water and sewage, land, waste management, nature areas, parks, and parking. The administration is divided into five departments: Property Department, Street/Park/Forest Department, Water and Sewage Department, Operational Services, and Land and Development Department. We also have the Environmental Management operation in Jönköping (MilJön).

The staff, where you as a controller will be included, is centrally located within the administration and serves as a support function for the departments and the technical committee. The staff's functions include financial support, committee administration, HR, communication support, workplace safety and environmental safety support, as well as IT and procurement coordination.

Good to Know

The position is a permanent employment at 100%, starting by agreement. Interviews will take place after the application period ends. During the interview, be prepared to provide two references. Personality and capacity tests will be used in this recruitment.
