Vocational Teacher in Maintenance Technology

Rinmangymnasiet has about 1200 students and operates in central facilities in Eskilstuna. The school is specialized in natural sciences, technology, and services. The adapted upper secondary school and the resource units of the upper secondary school are also part of Rinmangymnasiet.

Rinman Science College is a collaboration between the school and the factory association in Eskilstuna and the companies involved. Our goal is to create an attractive education that ensures our students gain the knowledge and skills that the industry demands. The programs included in RSC are the technology program, industrial technology program, natural sciences program, and electrical and energy program.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position, you will primarily teach courses in maintenance technology, which is a new focus for us in the industrial technology program. The program is growing, and the collaboration with the business community is established. Therefore, we are looking for someone who wants to continue developing the education together with us. Teaching is mainly directed towards high school, but we also have adult education occasionally.

Teaching will include all grade levels. Students receive both theoretical and practical instruction and participate in APL (workplace practice). You will plan your teaching according to the curriculum and support and motivate students to achieve the knowledge goals. You will receive support in your work by being part of a team with other teachers and staff you collaborate with.

QUALIFICATIONS

You need to have practical experience in operational reliability and maintenance for this position. It is beneficial if you have experience working with youth and teaching according to the current curriculum. It is also positive if you have a teaching degree with authorization to teach maintenance technology.

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in building relationships. We meet students with different backgrounds where you, as a teacher, play an important role in motivating them and contributing to their development. You are solution-focused and good at finding new creative solutions. Lastly, we see that you are unpretentious in your collaboration with others as you will be part of a team with teachers and staff primarily from the industrial technology program and the electrical and energy program.
