Description

The nursing position is based at the rheumatology department in Skövde, where you will have the majority of your duties.

The rheumatology service operates in outpatient care, with a reception unit and a day care and infusion unit. The unit's team includes doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, medical secretaries, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. In the reception, nurses provide infusion treatments, telephone advice, 1177 advice, team visits, medication information, and injection techniques. We are a unit with short decision-making paths, and we work flexibly and support each other. The position integrates with a suitable ward within the area of operation, with weekend duties every fourth weekend and 4 weeks during the summer. This integration allows for engagement and participation in developing cooperation between outpatient and inpatient care.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a licensed nurse, preferably with experience in outpatient services; it is an independent, enjoyable, and varied job. Since the work is independent, you need to be confident and secure in your role as a nurse; experience with rheumatological diseases and their treatments is an advantage. You should be responsible, have good patient interaction skills, and a strong ability to collaborate with others. As a nurse, you contribute to good nursing care and high-quality care with a focus on patient safety.

Qualifications

You must be a licensed nurse; specialist knowledge is valuable but not a requirement. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and a willingness and interest in seeing opportunities. Given the integrated working method, flexibility is also a significant asset.

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will participate in the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introductory program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts for the first year of your employment with us. It includes introductory days, mentoring and training days, and observation days. The purpose of the Clinical Foundation Year is to create good conditions for newly graduated nurses to strengthen their theoretical knowledge and practice skills while growing into their new profession.

In the event of recruiting nurses with foreign licenses/specialist certificates, the position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish licenses/specialist certificates.
