About us

Närhälsan Mariestad Health Center is part of the public health centers in Västra Götaland Region.

We have a catchment area of just over 14,600 registered patients. We have both acute and planned operations as well as nurse-led clinics. We collaborate with the regional healthcare, Närhälsan's rehabilitation clinic, and the municipality.

About the job

We are now looking for a doctor who will work with our elderly patients, both through our own geriatric clinic and also in home care areas and special accommodations. You will belong to our elderly team together with district nurses and rehabilitation staff. We see a need to develop working methods and routines around patients with cognitive impairment, where you can be a key player and have a great opportunity to influence.

The role may also include supervision of BT, ST, and AT doctors as well as medical students; it is an important part of our mission to educate tomorrow's healthcare professionals. We offer you a varied job with good development opportunities, for example through continuous further education of ten days per year.

About you

You are a licensed physician and have specialist training in the area of general medicine, geriatrics, or internal medicine with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Experience working with this patient group is an advantage. Language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale, are a requirement for the position.

We are looking for someone who can work independently but still wants to participate in the development work of the operation. In your work, you will meet many different patients, so it is important that you are attentive and have a good approach. You thrive in teamwork, and for you, it is a given to collaborate with colleagues and other partners in the work.
