We are looking for a methodical and senior UX designer for an exciting consulting assignment within public transport at a socially important organization in Stockholm.

The assignment runs from April 17, 2025, to December 31, 2025, with the possibility of extension and some remote work by agreement.

As a UX designer, you will play a central role in the development of a new ordering and contract web portal – a key component in the traffic management system that supports transportation and medical trips in Stockholm. The portal is used by the ordering center, travel guarantee, and taxi companies that carry out the trips, and is crucial for ensuring a functioning and accessible special public transport for the region's residents.

You will be part of a newly formed development team with a tech lead, developers (frontend and backend), and testers. You are responsible for leading the design process and ensuring a high user experience in the solution. The focus is on understanding user needs and transforming them into effective, validated concepts and solutions.

- Lead and drive the design process for the ordering and contract web portal

- Conduct user research and gather insights from various target groups

- Create concepts, UX flows, and interaction design based on user and business needs

- Prioritize functionality and define critical functionality for the first launch

- Create solution sketches, wireframes, and prototypes using tools like Figma

- Validate design through user testing and iterate based on feedback

- Collaborate closely with developers, testers, and other stakeholders in the team

- Present research results and design proposals to various internal target groups

To succeed in this role, you are an experienced and self-driven UX designer who enjoys working in complex environments with many stakeholders. You are comfortable adapting processes and methods based on purpose, target group, and conditions – and you are passionate about creating solutions that work in practice for users in their daily work.

- At least 9 years of experience as a UX designer

- Documented experience of driving the entire design process in similar assignments

- Familiarity with working on complex services in larger organizations

- Solid experience in user research, concept development, and user testing

- Ability to communicate user needs and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences

- Experience working with design tools like Figma

- Experience designing for professional users and workflow-intensive systems

- Good collaboration skills and experience working in cross-functional teams
