We are looking for an archivist for the municipal archive in Sollentuna municipality

The municipal archive consists of both the historical paper archive and the e-archive, which is also the archive of the future and will need to be further developed in the coming years.

The archive holds over 2 kilometers of shelves and 2 terabytes of documents from the 16th century to the present day. The archive has a tradition of outreach work with exhibitions, lectures, and a digital research room. We also organize events on Archives Day with high visitor numbers. In our newly renovated premises in Turebergshuset, we handle the release of public documents and bring Sollentuna's history to life for new generations.

The archivist is part of the digitization unit together with the municipal archivist, operational archivist, IT architect, data protection coordinator, information security coordinator, and change leader for digital development. You report to the head of the digitization unit. The municipal archivist has a supervisory role for the combined municipal archive.

Job Responsibilities

As an archivist, your mission is to:

• Help develop and manage the municipality's e-archive system
• Participate in the planning of system deliveries to the e-archive in collaboration with the offices and in the work to implement the plan
• Manage the municipality's historical archive and make material from it accessible to others through the municipality's digital research room and other activities
• Assist the organization and the public with the release of public documents from the municipal archive

Qualifications

• University education with at least 60 credits/40 points in archival science
• Several years of experience working with both e-archives and historical archives in a public organization

• Have good social skills and enjoy collaborating with others as you will have contacts within and outside the organization
• Like development, change, and innovative thinking both in yourself and your colleagues
• Be analytical and competent in presenting material both in writing and orally
