We are now looking for a Library Manager with overall responsibility for the schools

Who are you?

We are looking for an engaged and experienced Library Manager who wants to help shape the future library services in our schools. As Library Manager, you will have overall responsibility for driving equity and development of our libraries and library services in the schools. The role requires both strategic thinking and operational engagement to create an accessible and inspiring library experience for our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop library operations in our schools to ensure equitable and accessible service for all students.

  • Work strategically to improve and adapt the role of libraries in learning and teaching.

  • Visit and support staff responsible in their daily work and promote collaboration between schools.

  • Participate in the planning and implementation of training and development initiatives for school library staff.

  • Drive and participate in the development of new projects to strengthen the role of libraries in school activities.

  • Be responsible for the library's book collection, including purchasing, weeding, and cataloging.

  • Plan and execute author visits, literary events, and other activities that enhance the joy of reading.

  • Experience in leading and developing library operations in a school environment.

  • The ability to work strategically and long-term to create equitable library services.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.

  • The ability to work independently.
