Business Ambassador – Enhance Vaggeryd's Attractiveness This Summer!

Do you want to make a difference for both residents and local businesses? As a business ambassador, you play a crucial role in showcasing Vaggeryd municipality as an attractive place to live, visit, and run a business. During the summer, you will be the municipality's key person between the tourism industry, businesses, visitors, and residents, actively working to strengthen the local business climate and the municipality's appeal.

As a Business Ambassador, you will work with:

• Supporting and collaborating with the business community: Build good relationships with the tourism industry, business associations, and other stakeholders to support events, attractions, and networks. You ensure that information and marketing reach the right target groups and that businesses feel supported and encouraged in their work.
• Highlighting the business community: Together with summer interns, you will conduct simple company visits to create content for the municipality's channels. Through short interviews, video clips, or photos, you will highlight some of the businesses in the municipality and showcase them from a young perspective.
• Portraying summer jobs and youth in the workforce: You will meet some of the municipality's summer workers and create content for our channels. The focus is on showing how young people gain insight into the workforce and how local businesses contribute to that.
• Demonstrating pathways into the business community: You will highlight examples of young entrepreneurs and show different ways to work within the business community. This can be done in the form of shorter posts, interviews, or simple reports on social media.
• Being part of various events: You will participate in some of the municipality's larger events and document what happens. Through meetings with visitors and businesses, you contribute to showcasing the municipality in our channels.
• Coordinating and supporting InfoPoints: Vaggeryd municipality has 11 InfoPoints - in your role, you will ensure that businesses have the materials, information, and conditions they need to provide tourist services with good hospitality for our visitors. If necessary, you may staff a mobile InfoPoint about 1–2 days a week.
• Planning and leading summer interns: You will be responsible for organizing a small team of summer interns. Together, you will create a welcoming environment and a good service experience during the summer.
• Creating added value for both residents and businesses: Through collaboration with both small and large businesses and associations, you contribute to enhancing the attractiveness of the location. You take your own initiatives to strengthen Vaggeryd's identity and make concrete efforts that drive development forward.

Who Are You?

• You thrive in a social role where you build relationships with both businesses and visitors.
• You are action-oriented, like to take your own initiatives, and are driven to develop ideas and projects.
• You have a natural ability to communicate and collaborate, while also being self-sufficient and creative in capturing interest in the municipality's attractions.
• You are interested in place development, service, and communication. Experience or interest in marketing, project management, or events is a plus.

Qualifications

• You have at least a high school diploma, and post-secondary education is an advantage. If you also have an education in tourism or the tourism industry, that is an extra plus.
• You have good local knowledge of Vaggeryd municipality or the ability to quickly acquire the knowledge required. You also have good general knowledge of the rest of Småland and Sweden.
• It is important that you can express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish and English. Knowledge of German or other languages is an advantage.
• You need to master social media and basic photography, as it is an important channel for highlighting the municipality's attractions.
• A driver's license (B) is required for you to be able to travel between different locations in the municipality. You will have access to a car during working hours and will start from the municipal office Skillingehus in Skillingaryd.
