Risk Engineer/Underwriter at LF Skåne

About the Position

As a risk engineer/underwriter, you are a key person for the business. You are responsible for the company's internal governance and control of risk assessments and pricing. By assessing which companies and risks we should insure, you work to ensure the profitability of our corporate business. The work involves enabling insurance by conducting inspections, valuations, and loss prevention advice regarding fire and other risks at our customers' sites. Your tasks include creating risk reports, finding insurance solutions, performing premium and risk calculations, and establishing EML for our insurance business. You will belong to the Business Service Corporate Property department based in central Malmö at our beautiful office in Västra Hamnen.

The position of risk engineer/underwriter is a direct recruitment to LF Skåne with a start date according to agreement. Selection will be ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. About You

We are looking for someone with a relevant academic background as a civil engineer or engineering degree, preferably in fire safety, construction, or mechanical engineering. You have at least four years of experience in risk assessment, risk management, manufacturing industry, fire protection, or insurance.

To succeed in this role, it is important that you are business-minded, structured, and have a strong drive. You are technically skilled and possess sharp analytical abilities that allow you to make quick and well-founded decisions. Since the role involves many points of contact, both internally and externally, your communication skills in both spoken and written form are one of your strengths.

You thrive equally well working independently as in a team, where you contribute with your expertise and experience. The drive to continuously improve processes and the pride in delivering results of the highest quality motivates you.

It is a prerequisite that you have a driving license and access to your own car due to travel requirements.
