Welfare Gävle is growing, and we therefore need to expand with more social welfare officers. In the investigation unit for LSS and Social Psychiatry, we are currently about 25 employees, and we now need to add more social welfare officers for processing within LSS, the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons, and SoL, the Social Services Act. We work in teams led by primary case officers. Team meetings occur weekly. We systematically and actively work on operational improvements through focus groups, where your knowledge and participation are valued. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social welfare officer for our target groups, your primary task is to investigate, assess, and make decisions about the need for support and interventions. You also work with advice, planning, coordination, and follow-up of decisions in close collaboration with other social welfare officers and with other actors both internally and externally.

In the unit, we handle the target group of Social Psychiatry and LSS, and you primarily work within a legal framework. This means that as a social welfare officer within the framework of SoL, the Social Services Act, you will investigate SoL applications for both social psychiatry and for groups covered by LSS where SoL interventions are relevant, and as an LSS officer, you will investigate applications under the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a degree in social work or a degree from a social care program and who wants to work in a dynamic workgroup where we work in teams and where your knowledge is valued. Experience as a social welfare officer and from the area of operations or other public authority work is an advantage. A driver's license and good driving experience are required for the position.

You possess the ability to see what needs to be prioritized and organized, are efficient, and use resources to achieve results in the best possible way. Additionally, you are a good communicator, adapting your language to different situations and audiences. You instill confidence, create trust, and build relationships. For you, it is natural to focus on the meeting with clients, relatives, and each other.
