JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a school social worker, you will be part of the central student health team, which also includes psychologists, special educators, school doctors, and school nurses. You will be centrally organized but placed in one of our principal areas. You will primarily work preventively and health-promoting to support students' development towards educational goals. As part of a multi-professional team, you will contribute your specific expertise and knowledge. The role includes actively working on preventive measures against drugs and all types of bullying and harassment, as well as supporting the principal/deputy principal in investigations and actions when needed.

We are looking for two school social workers for parental leave cover from 250801 - 260630.

As a school social worker, you will work with:

• Participating in student health work and health-promoting and preventive efforts as part of the local student health team.
• Conducting professional conversations such as support, motivation, crisis, and conflict conversations.
• Conducting investigative, advisory, and processing conversations with individual students and their families.
• Representing students in need of special support.
• Initiating and participating in network work around students.
• Investigating and assessing school social situations for individual students and for the school as a whole.
• Supporting groups and urgent needs.
• Providing guidance and consultation to school staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

You should have a completed degree in social work and at least two years of experience working as a social worker. It is important that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language and can express yourself well in both speech and writing. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage.

You are accustomed to working with computers and various support systems such as journal systems, etc.

Meritorious for the position:

• Experience using ProRenata.
• Experience working with children and youth or in the school environment.
• Knowledge of the preventive and authoritative activities of social services.
• Experience in network work.
• Experience working from a systems theory and salutogenic perspective.
• Knowledge of languages other than Swedish and English.
