Are you a calm person who enjoys working independently? Do you want to get to know me, Vera, a happy and curious 4-year-old joy-spreader? Then we would like to talk more with you!

I have unspecified Cerebral Palsy, breathing difficulties, and difficult-to-treat epilepsy.

I need help with all everyday moments. Most of my food comes through a PEG tube in my stomach. But I also like to taste and eat small amounts by mouth. My biggest need for assistance revolves around the challenges I have with my breathing and my epilepsy. So, I need someone who keeps a watchful eye on me around the clock!

I need assistance in all moments. I am an active girl who enjoys when things happen. Playing, reading books, being outdoors, hanging out with family, and I love music.

I communicate through eye contact and body language. It is easy to understand me; I am good at expressing when something is good or not so good. I also have an eye-controlled computer that we are still getting to know, and we hope this will also help facilitate my everyday life in the future.

We are a family consisting of mom, dad, big sister (6 years old), the dog Vilda, and two cats living in a house in Galven outside Alfta.

From Monday to Thursday, I attend my preschool in Alfta and need help from my personal assistant there.

Initially, we will get to know each other and my parents. We will teach you how to use my assistive devices and the routines that exist. After that, you will be able to work independently (of course, with my parents close at hand if needed). There will be lifting involved, so physical fitness should be good.

Qualifications/requirements for the assistant: (Base it on any requirement profile. Try not to be too detailed in the ad, as there is a risk that potential candidates may feel underqualified and choose not to apply. It is better for KA to do that filtering. Be clear about which qualifications are absolute requirements, e.g., a driver's license or access to a car, and which qualifications are desirable/meritorious.

About the position: We are looking for someone who can work days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Currently, shifts are distributed between 07:00-19:00 and 19:00-07:00. On weekends, we work shorter shifts. We are looking for someone who speaks good Swedish, does not smoke, and has a driver's license. It is also important that you can remain calm when things get hectic for me. Experience in healthcare and social care is desirable but not a requirement. The main thing is that you are willing to learn. The absolute most important thing is that you and I like each other. Then we will take it from there.
