After-school Teacher

Vittra Schools, one of Sweden's leading independent school companies with 24 preschools and primary schools across the country. About Us

Vittra Gävle in Andersberg started its operations in the autumn of 2000 and is located near forests and within walking distance to Gävle's largest outdoor area, Hemlingby. Today, we have the privilege of caring for about 60 children in our after-school program, where students primarily range from preschool class to grade 3, but can stay until grade 6.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree focused on after-school care or a degree in after-school pedagogy. We prefer that you have experience working as a teacher in after-school care. Together with the rest of the team, you will plan and work towards a high-quality after-school program based on the curriculum's goals. In your role as a teacher in after-school care, you will work closely with preschool classes and primary school during the school day. Based on the individual needs of the students, you will stimulate meaningful activities both indoors and outdoors. You show great commitment to the after-school program and have a good ability to plan thoughtful and enjoyable teaching. You are dedicated to developing the program to make it accessible to all students. You have experience meeting students who need both extra adjustments and challenges. We are a multicultural school that promotes language-developing methods. You have the ability to see and reinforce the positive aspects of the students. You are secure and responsible, have good collaboration skills, are solution-focused, see opportunities instead of obstacles, take initiative, and create good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. We place great importance on collaboration skills and personal suitability.

The position is a permanent position at 100% with an initial probationary period of 6 months.
