Currently, a comprehensive development project is underway to strengthen the living conditions for children and young people in Sandviken municipality. In recent years, there has been intensive work to expand and develop the unit for preventive and early support within social services.

As a therapist at Lyktan, you will be part of the individual and family care administration and belong to a workgroup of eighteen people, with colleagues from field operations, parent advisors, enhanced parenting support, and the family center's family support. Lyktan's mission is to offer children and young people support and help primarily through group activities. The target group for Lyktan is children and young people growing up with parents with mental health issues and/or substance abuse, as well as children growing up with separated parents.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Together with other operations within the unit, you will be part of a group that collectively has the responsibility to offer our residents simple and accessible support when they need it.

As a therapist at Lyktan, you will primarily meet children and young people who are having a tough time at home. You will lead children and youth groups based on specially developed material, offer individual support conversations to children and guardians. You will also continuously work on promoting the operation and strengthening internal and external collaborations with relevant community actors.

QUALIFICATIONS

Who are you?

You have at least a two-year post-secondary education such as social pedagogue, social worker, treatment educator, behavioral scientist, or other education that the employer deems relevant.

You have experience working with children in previous positions or experience leading children and youth through cultural or association activities.

You have a B driver's license.

It is an advantage if you are multilingual and have good knowledge of different cultures.

As a person, you are curious, flexible, and secure. You possess good collaboration skills both in relation to colleagues, children, and guardians. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Before employment, a background check will be conducted.

OTHER

The individual and family care administration in Sandviken municipality has a functionally divided organization consisting of five units. Within the administration's area of responsibility, there is child and youth care, addiction care, financial assistance, family law, as well as processing alcohol permits and strategic work in the areas of public health and safety and ANDTS. The administration has a well-developed outpatient care for children, young people, and their families, as well as for adults.
