LARO Reception is looking for a Social Worker for Parental Leave Replacement

LARO Reception is part of the specialist addiction care in Region Gävleborg and offers support and treatment to individuals in medication-assisted rehabilitation for opioid dependence. Our goal is to contribute to a healthier and more sustainable life for our patients. We have specialist doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and social workers working closely together.

We are now looking for an engaged and driven colleague for a longer parental leave replacement. The position is located at Gävle Hospital and involves daytime work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker with us, you have a central role in seeing the whole picture regarding the patient's health and life situation. You work closely with nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors to provide patients with the best possible care and support. Your work includes supportive, motivational, and relapse-preventive conversations, as well as collaboration with other units and authorities, such as social services, correctional services, and the Social Insurance Agency, to ensure comprehensive care. As a social worker in addiction care, you collaborate with other social workers in Gästrikland as needed to ensure coordinated and effective care.

The work is guided by the National Board of Health and Welfare's guidelines for medication-assisted treatment for opioid dependence, national guidelines, and the care and intervention program for substance abuse and dependence.

  • perform standard curative tasks
  • conduct psychosocial treatment work and motivation-enhancing conversations

QUALIFICATIONS

To thrive as a social worker at the reception, you need to be flexible and enjoy a dynamic working style. The role requires good collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with patients, their relatives, colleagues, and partners. You are confident in making independent assessments and take responsibility for driving the work forward, even in situations where you need to prioritize and quickly adapt to the day's needs. With a calm and professional approach, you handle challenging situations and create a safe, respectful response. You are attentive, communicative, and value constructive dialogues and feedback that strengthens collaboration within the team. Additionally, you have an interest in developing care with a focus on psychiatry and addiction care.

In the role of social worker, you should:

  • have a degree in social work.

For this position, it is advantageous if you have training in CBT and experience working in psychiatric care or addiction care. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
