Individual and family care is the unit within the Social Administration in Ockelbo municipality that handles financial assistance, family counseling, family law, outpatient care efforts, and substance abuse. Permits and supervision according to alcohol legislation, child and youth matters, etc.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for an engaged social worker who wants to work with financial assistance and contribute to strengthening the applicant's resources and opportunities for self-sufficiency.

As a social worker with us, you will play an important role in public authority exercise. You will investigate the right to financial assistance and process applications according to the Social Services Act (SoL). Your focus will be on finding solutions that strengthen the individual's resources and opportunities to become self-sufficient and live an independent life. The work also involves collaboration with external partners to ensure the best possible support for clients. We use the CGI Treserva documentation system to efficiently manage cases. The role may also include other tasks within IFO as we are an integrated operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a degree in social work or another education that we consider equivalent. Experience from various areas of individual and family care is an advantage, but we also value your ability to quickly adapt to new tasks and take overall responsibility for cases.

You have a good ability to meet people in difficult life situations with a professional and empathetic approach. Making well-founded and thoughtful assessments is a given for you, and you find it easy to make decisions that benefit both the individual and society. Your work is characterized by thoroughness and a clear focus on legal certainty.

It is also important to us that you thrive in collaboration with colleagues and contribute to a good working climate. You have a positive attitude, are solution-focused, and easily adapt to changes. We believe that you as a person are secure in your professional role, have the ability to handle stressful situations, and maintain a professional approach in all meetings with both clients and colleagues.

The position involves some travel, and you therefore need to have a valid driver's license (B). A criminal record check is required upon employment.
