Hälsinglands Education Association

Hälsinglands Education Association is a municipal association formed by the municipalities of Bollnäs and Söderhamn with the mission to meet students' demand for education with breadth and quality.

The association's work is characterized by being a driver of growth, a mediator of education, and a meeting place for development. We run upper secondary and adult education for the municipalities' residents, as well as provide opportunities for higher vocational education and distance studies at colleges and universities. We also offer commissioned training to companies and organizations, as well as opportunities for research and development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your work includes preventive and promotional efforts to create good conditions for our students to succeed in their studies. You do this by supporting and conversing with students individually or in groups. The conversations are based on the student's or the institution's needs, and you work on behalf of the principal.

You work preventively and promote psychosocial work to create good conditions for our students to succeed in their studies. You collaborate with teachers and other professionals in our Student Health Team. You conduct social investigations when required, e.g., regarding adapted upper secondary school. The work requires you to prioritize cases, be flexible, and work independently based on your professional role. Your work also includes contact and collaboration with social services and the police.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a trained social worker. You are an open and humble person who finds it easy to meet people and build good relationships. It is important that you can see the whole picture regarding students and groups and that you have good collaboration skills. You also need to enjoy working independently.

You have previous experience working preventively and promoting well-being among people from a holistic perspective. Previous work as a school counselor, within social services, and other experience working with youth is an advantage.
