The position involves working in EDV's pool group with a base placement in one of the EDV groups.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Are you a person who inspires trust, creates confidence, and reliability? Do you also have the ability to spread calm and stability? Great! We are looking for four support assistants for EDV's pool group. We make Gävle safe.
Within EDV, we actively work with user influence, and our work is based on a pedagogical approach and working method (PFA) that clarifies and adapts tasks based on each individual. You should be able to work independently based on goals, guidelines, activities, and individual implementation plans. Together with a colleague or individually, you are responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and developing the operations.
Your main task in this position is to ensure that users receive the right support and are given the opportunity to develop according to their own abilities through individual and group-adapted activities. The work is based on a structured approach, and in your interactions, you work to meet the user at their level. In our operations, you work with the user at the center by creating a safe and developing environment at the workplace with your colleagues.
As a support assistant in the pool group, you will replace regular staff during short-term absences as well as during longer absences of regular support assistants. Solo work occurs, and you participate in the relevant tasks. The tasks vary depending on the workplace for the day. The position will be at different workplaces within EDV, both within basic operations with users with severe to moderate intellectual disabilities and also in corporate groups with users with moderate to mild intellectual disabilities and other diagnoses.
When you are not booked/replacing in any group, you will work in the pre-determined base placement. You can work individually with various activities to provide individuals with a rich day or with a larger group. Personal care is included, and transfers occur, both manual transfers and with aids such as ceiling lifts or floor lifts.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with nursing and/or educational training or other education that the employer considers equivalent, such as nursing programs, child and youth programs with a focus on social work, support assistant training, or other vocational training at the high school level aimed at the target group. You have good knowledge and experience of working within LSS, at least two years of experience within the target group. Furthermore, you have experience with documentation within LSS, social journals, and implementation plans. You have the ability to express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing, as well as a B driver's license and driving experience.
As a person, you have an unpretentious approach in your collaboration with others. You take initiative, are courageous, and have the ability to distinguish between issues and individuals. Furthermore, you have the ability to find alternative solutions to emerging problems. Adapting to different situations and being able to change your perspective and approach feels natural to you. You see opportunities in changes.
In accordance with Gävle Municipality's values, you have a good attitude, a strong ability to collaborate, and care about high quality in your work.
