Where: Bomhus, Gävle.

Working hours: Day or evening shifts and possibly awake night shifts.

Employment type: On-call employment with the possibility of scheduled shifts. We are looking for someone who wants to work extra/part-time both this summer and moving forward. There is an opportunity to influence your working hours/schedule in agreement with relatives.

About the client: Alicia is 6 years old and has, among other things, an intellectual disability and epilepsy. She needs assistance with all activities, from eating to dressing and personal hygiene. She has significant medical needs as she has both difficult-to-treat epilepsy and a stoma. She usually eats by mouth but also has a button for medication and food when needed. She is a cheerful and playful little girl with a sparkle in her eye. Alicia enjoys activities and likes to play, but she also has a great need to just sit and relax. She cannot walk and therefore sits in a wheelchair/stroller.

Alicia does not speak but uses some picture support and is very clear in her body language, which makes it possible to understand her once you get to know her.

We live in a villa in Bomhus, Gävle. The family consists of mom, dad, Alicia's older sister, and 3 cats. Lifting is required, so good physical condition is necessary. Some experience with children is preferred. Since there are cats in the home, one cannot be allergic.

Previous work with people with epilepsy and alternative communication is a merit but not a requirement. You will learn most of it on-site.

We are looking for personal assistants who want to work extra, mainly during the day or evening and on weekends! Awake night shifts may be relevant in the future.

God Assistans cares for its assistants, has a collective agreement, and offers wellness benefits of up to 4000 SEK/year.
