The Adult Rehabilitation in Örebro County provides habilitation to individuals with permanent disabilities. The goal of our efforts is to give the patient increased participation and satisfaction in their daily life. We work in specialized teams with various professional categories. We collaborate with relatives and other healthcare providers for our target group. The Adult Rehabilitation is part of the Area of Close Care within the Region of Örebro County. Our most common diagnoses are autism, intellectual disabilities, mobility impairments, multiple disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and neurological diseases. We are organized into three diagnostic teams: the Autism Team, the Neuro-Brain Injury Team, and the Team for Patients with Intellectual Disabilities.

We are now looking for a social worker for the Autism Team at Adult Rehabilitation. We are a wonderful group consisting of psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, special educators, and a unit manager.

The Adult Rehabilitation provides specialized habilitation and rehabilitation to individuals in Örebro County who have significant disabilities. We are organized in a cross-professional team and carry out our efforts with a long-term perspective where daily life is in focus.

Within the Area of Close Care, there are approximately 2,400 employees across eleven different areas of operation. Close care includes care that is common, frequently occurring, and geographically close to patients. The area includes primary care services with health centers, health center emergency services, youth clinics, medical advice, asylum and immigrant health, the generally specialized care at the county's three hospitals, and geriatric clinics, as well as activities within habilitation and assistive devices. By expanding cooperation between health centers, specialized hospital care, and the county's municipalities, we create even better care - always with the patient's best interests in focus.

Social Worker for the Autism Team at Adult Rehabilitation

Job Responsibilities

As a social worker in the Autism Team, you will have a broad and varied job. You will work with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and average intelligence. Treatment is offered both in groups and individually. You will help design and lead discussion groups and courses, but you will also have individual contacts, such as support in dealings with authorities, support conversations, and motivational interviewing. We have both physical meetings with patients and digital care with therapeutic conversations and courses online.

You will independently plan your work in close collaboration with the team. As a new employee, you will have a mentor during the initial period and regular external supervision.

Qualifications

Licensed healthcare social worker or degree in social work. Experience with the target group is an advantage. It is important that you have good collaboration skills and an interest in working in a team with other professionals and also other actors in society. Furthermore, it is of great importance that you are a good communicator with the ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing. We want you to see opportunities instead of difficulties. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and collaboration skills.

The position involves travel, so a driver's license is required.
