The Addiction Center outpatient care is regional and located at Slottsgatan 10 in Örebro. We work in teams consisting of psychiatrists, doctors, social workers, nurses, caregivers, occupational therapists, and psychologists. We receive adults who need treatment/evaluation for substance dependence and simultaneously suffer from mental health issues. The treatment consists of a combination of medical interventions and conversations. The workgroup has a broad competence to offer the treatment the patient desires and needs.

The Addiction Center is part of specialized psychiatry that investigates and treats individuals with dependency issues (alcohol, drugs, and gambling) and simultaneously mental health problems. The operation includes both outpatient and inpatient care, and we are divided into different teams, including an NP team and a Kajsa women's reception. The inpatient care consists of a care department and a detoxification unit. Together, we are around 100 employees working with common processes and goals. We work in multiprofessional teams based on a holistic view of the individual. The Addiction Center Outpatient Care is centrally located in Örebro on Slottsgatan, with good access to public transport. The reception has a high level of satisfaction and low staff turnover.

Social Worker for the Addiction Center Outpatient Care

Job Responsibilities

As a social worker at the Addiction Center outpatient care reception, you will work with documentation, support conversations, relapse prevention, and motivational interviewing both individually and in groups. You will be involved in care planning and share responsibility for the continuous follow-up and revision of the care plan. Collaboration occurs within your own team, within the Addiction Center, and the rest of psychiatry. Externally, primarily with employers and social services, but also with other authorities such as the employment agency and the Social Insurance Agency. The work is done in teams that are based on a holistic perspective that includes both psychosocial and medical factors. The social worker maps and investigates the psychosocial situation.

Qualifications

Licensed health and medical care social worker or social work degree, preferably with Step-1 competence. We prefer that you have a few years of professional experience in working with addiction and dependency care. You need to have good collaboration skills, be good at meeting both at the patient level and with partners. Be fearless in the face of new challenges and changes. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and qualities.
