Family Coach for the School Social Team

About the Organization

In the school social team, two family coaches work under a steering group. One family coach has been employed in the project previously, and now we are looking for a colleague to join.

The school social team is a collaboration between the school and the Social Services in Hallsberg. The purpose of the project is to provide support to students with emerging school absenteeism and thereby increase school attendance and eligibility for high school. A successful school experience protects against various forms of social problems.

Job Responsibilities

The family coaches primarily work during the day, but they may sometimes need to be on-site early in the morning or later in the evening. The job requires the ability to work independently and flexibly. There are good opportunities to influence job tasks and content, based on the project's framework. As a family coach, you will work closely and collaborate with staff within the school and social services.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in social work
• Relevant experience working with families and youth in need of social support
• Good ability to work independently as well as to collaborate externally and internally
• Strong communication skills in both spoken and written language
• Good collaboration skills, empathy, creativity, flexibility, and a sense of responsibility
• A driver's license for a manual transmission is required.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Meritorious

It is an advantage if you can speak multiple languages.
