The Rescue High School Sandö has offered a unique educational environment for young people passionate about the world's difficult issues since 1998. The teaching is conducted according to the problem-based learning (PBL) model and takes place in subject-integrated knowledge areas and group work. Theory and practice are intertwined, and students' personal development goes hand in hand with learning. As a certified UN school, we focus on global issues and collaborate with community actors in fire, rescue, and civil crisis management. The education is currently conducted within the natural science program, and from the autumn term of 2025, we will also offer a child and leisure program, providing our students with new opportunities. The Rescue High School is part of Kramfors Gymnasium, with Kramfors Municipality as the main authority.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

With us, you plan your teaching together with other teachers in subject-integrated knowledge areas. You relate your subject knowledge to real events and to other subjects. Together, you schedule the knowledge area and guide students in the group work that is central to the working method. No week is the same, and it is close from idea to decision!

Responsibilities and tasks:

• You are responsible for teaching in your subjects based on the pedagogical model of problem-based learning.
• You guide students in group work in various knowledge areas.
• You work as a mentor for students.
• You actively contribute to the entire school's work based on the school's needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for three qualified high school teachers in the following or other combinations:

• Swedish and Religion
• Chemistry, Biology, and Natural Science
• Mathematics and another subject
