Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a teacher in Swedish and English for grades 4-6 at Sorgenfriskolan! You will be part of a team of teachers in grade 4 where you will collaboratively plan and be responsible for the students' education and development, as well as decide on any needs for subject integration or project studies in your classes. Your focus will be on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. You will teach students in grades 4-6 in Swedish and English, educating and supporting them in their social and academic development.

You will challenge students to take their own initiatives, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. Your role includes mentorship in grade 4, collaborating with three other teachers. As a mentor, you will have specific responsibility for a group of students, allowing you to closely follow their academic development and personal maturity. As a mentor, you will inform and keep the student's guardians updated on their academic progress through regular development conversations.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a certified teacher with qualifications for teaching grades 4-6 in English in combination with another subject. Previous experience as a teacher is considered an advantage. You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. Furthermore, you possess strong didactic and pedagogical skills, allowing you to lead and organize your work to create a peaceful and conducive learning environment for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and, with good knowledge and experience, work effectively with relevant digital tools. Of course, you have a professional approach and work towards building good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school. About the Workplace

Located in central Malmö, Sorgenfriskolan is situated in a calm and pleasant environment. At Sorgenfriskolan, every student succeeds based on their conditions through high expectations, safety, community, and joy! The school is a two to three-parallel F-9 school housed in a beautiful 1920s building. Approximately 580 students attend here. The school day should be characterized by an inclusive climate with great respect for each other's differences.
