We are looking for an experienced fullstack developer with a focus on web for an exciting assignment in research and environmental data management. The assignment involves the development and improvement of web services for visualizing hydrological climate data, primarily for use in developing countries. You will be part of an agile team where you work closely with researchers and other developers to create solutions that facilitate data access and visualization.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work as a developer in a team that supports the research department with the visualization of hydrological climate data.
• Contribute to the development of web services to make data available and visualize it for research purposes, using JavaScript (primarily React), CSS, and other web technologies.
• Work in a Linux environment and develop both frontend and backend solutions, primarily with Java.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of applications according to agile methods, such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Engage in active efforts to improve performance and ensure high quality in deliveries, especially focusing on usability and accessibility.
• Collaborate with clients, product owners, and team members to ensure project requirements are met and solutions are delivered on time.

Requirements:

Must-Have (Mandatory Requirements):

• At least 3 years of experience in frontend development with JavaScript and CSS.
• At least 3 years of experience in development with React.
• At least 2 years of experience in backend development with Java.
• At least 2 years of experience working with relational databases.
• At least 1 year of experience working in agile teams.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Nice-to-Have (Desirable Competencies):

• Experience in developing systems with high performance requirements.
• Experience in creating web services that are accessibility-compliant according to WCAG standards.
• Experience and a positive attitude towards pair and ensemble programming.
• Experience with OpenShift or similar technologies.

Additional Information:

• Location: Norrköping (the possibility of remote work can be discussed, but planned in consultation with the team coach).
• Start date: 2025-05-12.
• End date: 2026-05-11, with the possibility of extension (3x1 year).
• Scope: 100%.
