Business Developer at Mjölby Municipality
We are Mjölby Municipality. Together we deliver services and are community builders and authorities. Our work benefits society with the citizen's best in focus - throughout life. The Community Development Administration has approximately 340 employees who perform vital work for society every day. The administration consists of the departments of property, street-park, meals and cleaning, emergency services, urban planning office, water-waste, and administration. You will belong to the administrative department, which currently consists of seven employees.
Are you the business developer we are looking for?
As a business developer at the Community Development Administration, you will be a central operational resource for object managers of digital systems throughout the administration. In this role, you have a coordinating function and work together with the object managers to develop and implement management plans, as well as follow up and report progress to the management group.
Job Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring the development and integration of secure and robust business systems together with other functions. You will initiate environmental monitoring and keep track of current trends and insights, which you will then disseminate within the administration. You are responsible for coordinating, educating, and implementing developed models and working methods for object management.
In this role, you will work on behalf of the management group to build and develop digital support from a business-oriented perspective and the specific needs within the administration. Your assignments are project-based and include needs analysis, feasibility studies, and project implementation together with the relevant business.
You will collaborate closely with the other business developers in the administration to jointly prioritize and drive the strategic improvement work for digital systems. Furthermore, you will cooperate with other administrations within the municipality and external actors on issues related to the municipality's data analysis tools, such as Power BI. Initially, in the role of business developer, you will be involved in project management related to the implementation of a new IT system within the administration, where you will have significant responsibility as a project manager and object manager.
Who are you?
To be considered for the role, you need an academic education in IT, systems science, economics, or other education/experience we deem relevant for the role. You should have documented experience in a similar role. It is crucial that you have previously led development work related to digitization and have experience in driving and leading change projects involving IT systems. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have experience in object management of IT systems according to PM3 or a similar model.

With your strong communication skills, you express yourself clearly and adapt your communication to the needs and conditions of the target audience, which creates trust and credibility. You also have a strong ability to build and maintain long-term and good relationships, both within the organization and with external parties. You are a structured and responsible person, identifying improvement opportunities and taking initiative for change to drive the organization forward.
