HR and Communication, Executive Office

We are looking for a colleague for the HR and Communication department in Västervik Municipality! We are an engaged team working together with our 3,100 municipal employees for the best of the municipality based on the vision "Quality of Life Every Day"!

The mission of HR is to contribute to making Västervik Municipality an attractive employer, as well as to deliver professional and consultative HR support based on the needs of the operations and the municipality's overall goals. With us, you will have an important role, and together with the entire HR department, we work to develop and support the operations!

What does the role entail?

As an HR specialist, you will work closely with your colleagues and have a particular operational responsibility for the Municipal Executive's administration. You will be a key player in our team and have the opportunity to influence and develop employer-related issues throughout the municipality. The role places a strong focus on promoting increased digitalization within the employee lifecycle.

What is expected of me?

Collaboration and support: Together with the management of the administration, you will work on recurring HR activities and provide support to identify needs, plan, and implement initiatives in the personnel area.
Consultative role: You will provide broad support to managers on issues such as workplace environment, personnel matters, salary reviews, labor law, and other HR-related issues. You will serve as an important sounding board in daily personnel matters.
Development and improvement: Together with your colleagues, you will work to develop the municipality-wide HR support. A particular focus will be on digitalization, onboarding, and simplifying working methods and tools for the municipality's managers and employees.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We prefer that you have a university degree in HR or another relevant education for the role. To succeed, you should also have experience working with employer-related issues and have previously supported managers based on their needs. You need to have an interest in digitalization and preferably experience in implementing and managing HR systems.

For this position, you need a valid driver's license (B).

You are attentive, have good communication skills, and have a natural ability to build and maintain good relationships.

Generally, you need to have a high degree of personal maturity and be secure in yourself and your profession. You are skilled at developing, planning, and prioritizing your work in a structured way. Furthermore, you have a good ability to tackle complex contexts and see solutions rather than problems. Just like the rest of us in the department, you are a natural team player.

As the position requires you to produce written material of high quality or give presentations to groups, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We see it as a prerequisite that you are comfortable using the Office suite and that it comes naturally for you to learn new systems.
