Analyst at the Swedish eHealth Agency
Do you want to combine your skills as an analyst with a commitment to society where you create benefits for the residents of Sweden? Do you thrive in an independent role where you get to work on development in close collaboration with your colleagues?
The analysis unit is a new unit under construction that is part of the Department of Analysis and Investigation. The department includes many professions and competencies, and consists, in addition to the analysis unit, of a statistics unit and two investigation units.
At the analysis unit, employees will be responsible for socio-economic and health-economic analyses as well as the application of AI through machine learning models. In the role of analyst, you will work both independently and in teams with other analysts and experts.
About the position
As an analyst, you will work with data processing and analysis, as well as the development and application of econometric and statistical models (including machine learning models). Examples of analyses include evaluations of the national drug list, evaluations of our own services to improve them, etc.
To fit into the role of analyst with us, you need to enjoy being part of building a new operation and have good programming skills, as well as being comfortable with mathematical and statistical concepts and models.
It is also important that you can explain methods and results in a pedagogical way in both speech and writing.
About you
In recruitment, we place great emphasis on your personal qualities, as they are crucial for how you will thrive and succeed in the role. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is used to working independently, takes initiative, and can drive processes forward. Since you will have close collaboration with your colleagues, we assume you enjoy working in teams. In this role, you will work with complex issues, which requires you to have good analytical skills and a structured approach.
We are looking for someone who has:
- a licentiate or doctoral degree in economics, statistics, or equivalent
- good and documented knowledge in statistics and econometrics
- current experience in handling and analyzing large amounts of data using programming languages such as R, SAS, Python, or similar
- current experience in presenting results in a pedagogical way in Swedish, both orally and in writing
It is an advantage if you have:
- experience from working in government operations
- experience in healthcare
- experience in digitalization issues
