About You

We are looking for someone with a high school diploma in media or equivalent work experience as assessed by the employer. You have documented experience in adapting communication for different target groups and purposes to create precise messages, as well as using digital channels to achieve success. You are passionate about digital marketing and know how to create content that engages and inspires while being adept at designing advertisements and other marketing materials in both printed and digital formats. You are a creative and positive doer who can drive ideas from thought to action and a good ambassador who can speak for the organization.

As a person, you are positive, greet people with a smile, and spread joy to those around you. You are a team player who thrives on providing service to others; the work involves close collaboration with school management, colleagues, students, conference guests, and other external stakeholders. At the same time, you can work independently, make quick decisions, and handle a stressful environment when it arises without losing accuracy in your work.

At Gamleby Folk High School, you will meet the school's fantastic participants daily, which means interacting with people of various ages with different cultural backgrounds, life situations, and circumstances. You will work in a developing and inspiring folk high school environment located beautifully in Gamleby since 1969, but the school is one of Sweden's oldest, established in 1876. Gamleby Folk High School offers general courses with various specializations at basic and upper secondary levels, special courses in photography, sustainable textiles, and cultivation, as well as courses in sustainability and transition. Gamleby Folk High School also has vocational training for leisure leaders, teacher assistants, and nursing assistants, as well as a higher vocational education for TV production specialists. Additionally, the school has course and conference activities and accommodation that is rented out to participants and used for conference guests. We have about 50 employees and around 220 participants in our long courses.

In the education administration area, there are five basic units, library development, and the four folk high schools: Gamleby Folk High School, Högalid Folk High School, Vimmerby Folk High School, and Öland Folk High School. The folk high schools offer a wide range of educational programs that contribute to raising the educational level in the region. Library development initiates, leads, and coordinates the region's joint development work in the library field. We are part of the regional development administration that works together on growth and development issues in Kalmar County.
