The Department of Education and Child Care has about 800 employees. The department's activities extend throughout the municipality and include preschool, primary school F-9, adapted primary school, after-school care, food services, cleaning, mother tongue education, and library services.

Kaxås School is a F-6 school with about 50 students. Kaxås School is located adjacent to nature, offering great opportunities for outdoor activities and experiences.

A day as a teacher in after-school care at Kaxås after-school program

Kaxås after-school program currently has about 35 students. You will be part of the after-school program's work team and together with your colleagues plan, implement, and develop the program. You will also be part of the F-6 work team where after-school and classroom teachers collaborate and share responsibility for the students throughout the day.

The main task of the job is to teach and stimulate students based on municipal and national goals. Inspiring, motivating, and sparking curiosity in students to seek the knowledge they need is another important part of the job, as well as supporting students in their personal development so they can function socially in society.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are an educated, certified teacher in after-school care.

You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational activities in the after-school program together with your colleagues. The role requires that you have a good understanding of the after-school program's mission and are well acquainted with the governing documents of the after-school program and school, and can apply them in daily work. We place great importance on whether you have experience working with Frippar as a pedagogical document for planning, implementation, and development.
